The Queen.

Beautiful brows.

Up until not that long ago, I really didn't pay much attention to my eyebrows, but I randomly decided my eyebrows looked so much better filled in with eyebrow powder or a pencil, as I think it accentuates your eyes and face.   I've used eyebrow palettes, but this eyebrow pencil from Soap & Glory, called the "Arch de Triumph" brow shaper and highlighter is my new best friend. I'm a huge fan of all things S&G, but I'd never tried their make-up, so this was a first, and it's genius.

Major Wanderlust.

Lately, I've been feeling a bit blue about not leaving the country, maybe I've been watching too many films/TV shows that have been set in luxurious locations, as I'm so desperate for a holiday!

I'm such a sucker for being drawn into films and TV shows, as I always create these obscene scenarios in my head, about places I want to go and scenes that will happen when I'm there, they're the most unrealistic things ever, but they keep me entertained!

Exfoliate, exfoliate, exfoliate!

  • St Ives Invigorating Apricot scrub.
  • Simple Oil balancing exfoliating wash.
  • Soap & Glory Scrub your nose in it.

Tangle Teeser delight.

(I do not own this picture).

I recently had the joy of purchasing a 'Tangle Teezer', a form of hairbrush which basically does what it says on the tin, teezes tangles!   I was debating to buy one for a while, as I had heard such good things about them, so recently took the plunge, and I'm so glad I did! It's genuinely amazing. You can use on both wet and dry hair, and I don't even know how it does it, it's like magic, all the knots and tangles in your hair are removed!   I bought mine for £10 in Boots, but you can get them on Amazon, and other drugstores, and it's so worth it!  Mine is like this one, purple and glittery, but you can get other colours, such as pink, orange etc.  If there's one product you buy this month, make it the Tangle Teezer, trust me you won't regret it, no hairbrush will ever compare!

Pin-up fashion.

Over recent years, I have found myself more and more attracted to 50's pin-up fashion and style, just think anything with big polka dots, buttons and is quirky! Think 50's pin- up girl meets Katy Perry. I love that almost cartoon-ey look (wooo, I just made up a word!), along with anything with bows, polka dots and hearts, which is what I find myself instantly drawn towards.   I would definitely say that the 50's fashion makes rather a statement, which is far cry from beach girl style, which I personally don't like on myself, give me red lipstick and a polka dot dress any day!

(The beautiful Betty Grable).

I like to mix my polka dots and bow printed clothing, with something a little different, say ankle socks and brogues, a look that isn't associated with pin-up, so it kind of gives your own spin on something which makes it more unique (not that wearing brogues is unique, but when you mix it with something it doesn't necessarily go with, it can be a little different).

At the moment, I have the BIGGEST girl\style crush on Lana Del Rey! I have been a fan of her since the beginning but I have found myself obsessed with both her style and her music.

My inspiration.

Marilyn Monroe is my all time, ultimate icon in so many ways. I am a huge fan of old Hollywood, Pin-up glamour, and Marilyn was the queen of Hollywood glamour. Nobody rocked the blonde curls, red lips and amazing curves better than Marilyn.
